The Annual UNGA Education Welcome Drinks

The Sunday that starts UNGA week

Every year KW Strategy organises the Sunday evening welcome drinks that open United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) week for the global education community. Relaxed, informal, and free to attend: two hours of conversation with colleagues and friends from around the world before the week begins in earnest.

Attending is free, and so is the bar: our partner organisations fund the event so that everyone in the education community can come and network at no cost. In 2025 every one of the 140 places went, with a waitlist of 200 behind them. For 2026 we more than doubled the capacity to 300, and every one of those went within days of registration opening, with a waitlist behind them again.

Thank you to everyone who came on 20 September and made it what it was, and to everyone who wanted to be there and could not get a place. We will be back in September 2027, in a bigger venue again.
